We made adding money to Rand as easy as it gets. We provide you with two option: adding money through a bank transfer or through a debit or credit card. The benefits of using bank transfers is that the process is free of charge, but it may take some days for the money to arrive to Rand. The benefits of using card transactions is that the top up is instant, but a 0.5% fee is associated with them.
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to add money using both methods:
- Start by opening the Rand app and accessing the home screen.
- Look for the "Add money" button and tap on it. A drawer will slide up with two options.
- Select the "Bank Transfer" option.
- A page with the transfer information, including the IBAN number and additional details, will be displayed within the app.
- Copy the provided IBAN number and any other required information.
- Open your bank's online portal or app and initiate a bank transfer.
- Paste the copied information into the appropriate fields on your bank's portal.
- Complete the transfer as instructed by your bank. Please note that bank transfers are free of charge from our side.
- Once the transfer is processed, which typically take around 3-4 working days, the money will be credited to your Rand account.
Credit or Debit Card:
- From the app's home screen, click on the "Add money" button.
- In the drawer that appears, select the "Credit or Debit Card" option.
- You will be directed to a screen where you can select a saved card or add a new one.
- Choose the desired card and enter the amount you wish to deposit.
- Click on the "Add Money" button.
- You will be prompted to enter the CVV for the selected card.
- Complete the verification process as required, which may include additional steps in your bank's portal.
- Once the transaction is verified and authorized, the money will be instantly transferred to your Rand account.
After adding money to your Rand account, you have the flexibility to decide where to allocate the funds. You can choose to keep the money in your Checking Account or move it to the Earn Account or the Prize Account, depending on your financial goals and preferences.
